Gordon Milar Construction has been family owned and operated since 1997 and has long been respected as a premier custom home builder in northern Utah. Over the years, we have built hundreds of custom homes—ranging in size from 1,200 square foot ramblers to sprawling 10,000+ square foot mansions. We are small enough to be personal and flexible in our designs and processes, but large enough to establish and maintain long-term relationships with critical industry partners. We know your family has unique desires and needs and we are pleased to be able to facilitate a wide variety of specialty designs and features. At our buyer’s requests, we have built homes with elevators, suspended slab garages, custom theater rooms, detached garages, solar panels, septic tanks, wells, swimming pools, tennis courts, and so much more. We help design and build every style of home, including modern, craftsman, traditional, farmhouse, and colonial. At each step of the design process, we diligently seek to communicate with you in order to design to your particular needs.

We strive to always learn from our experiences and share with you our thoughts and opinions. While we are the first to acknowledge we are not perfect, we believe our learning and sharing mindset allows us to excel at helping you foresee and avoid many custom home building challenges and disappointments. We have often heard our clients say things like, “we wish our last builder would have talked to us about these details.” And we have heard realtors and designers say things like, “we’ve never had any other builder go into this level of detail, but it would have been really great if they had!” By utilizing advanced drone data, we are able to carefully plan with you how your unique home and your unique lot will interact with one another, and prior to starting construction, we carefully review with you both your plans and our specification sheets which we send to our subcontractors and suppliers.
